We will add more detail to this list - such as configuration notes for each model. In the meantime, this can function as a list of routers that we have either performed interop testing with, or already have successfully deployed in the field. This list is not exhaustive; our resellers often run routers that we are not directly aware of or have configured ourselves.
Preferred router: Ubiquiti Edgerouter series.
- We recommend the 'mini' as a capable dual-wan router for installations of less than 30 phones.
- The larger 'Pro' can handle a lot of phones, we have them in the field running QoS on networks with 80+ phones
TP-Link AC1750 (running OpenWRT firmware)
- follow the standard router guidelines to get required performance out of this router
- suitable for dedicated LAN and uplink deployments with less than 30 phones
SonicWall Routers
- several different models are currently used with success in the field
- check the router configuration guidelines for notes
Cisco E1200 / E2500 (running OpenWRT or DD-WRT firmware)
- any Cisco retail-grade router can normally be used if it can run 3rd-party firmware
- versions are rather tricky to figure out, not all current versions can support 3rd-party firmware, so be cautious
- can support up to 20 phones, or more, on dedicated LAN and uplink
