Have you ever wondered 'where is the Night Mode' on this system? The feature is there, but you have to build it yourself. Here's how to do it
The below steps should be followed in the 'Callflows' app. You can program this to a BLF key as well, so that the BLF key indicates when it is enabled or not. The instructions below include this - if you don't want to do that, just ignore the 'manual presence' part of the instructions. You'll just need to dial the 'enable' and 'disable' codes manually if you do not program a button for this.
- Create a 'Time of Day' that is set to 'Forced Off', rather than 'Based on Time'. You do not need to select all times and days, as we have done in the attached example.
- Create a new callflow, and assign it a callflow number. This will be dialled to ENABLE / 'turn on' the routing.
- The first step in the callflow should be 'Manual Presence'. You can find this object under 'advanced'. Set the manual presence to match the callflow number, like this: callflow_number@realm.domain.name. The call will 'pass through' this and set the BLF to 'busy' before taking the next step.
- Then, as seen above, the next object should be 'Enable Time of Day'. Select the new Time of Day item you created in step #1.
- Repeat the same thing with a new callflow, except that this callflow should set the same 'Manual Presence' to 'Idle', and DISABLE the same Time of Day item. This second callflow will turn the routing override off.
- Configure a BLF / speed dial key on a test phone with the same 'callflow_number@realm.domain.name' as was specified above. Create a regular, SEPARATE speed-dial button (this does not have to be BLF) that dials the 'disable' call flow. Unfortunately, these have to be separate buttons.
- Edit the desired 'production callflow' so for that any call passing through it, at the first step (or existing 'Time of Day routing' step), CloudPBX will check whether this Time of Day is enabled or not, and route appropriately.
- Test this out by pressing the BLF key that was just configured, and dialling the 'target' callflow that is to be re-routed. When the button is pressed, the BLF light should turn on, and the routing should change as desired; and vice versa.
